I’m Ada. I was born in, raised in, and still love living in the D.C. area. I’m a wife, mother of 4 beautiful children, daughter of Salvadoran immigrants, and form part of the Catholic Church.

In college, full of potential and self-motivation, and intrigued by our society, I dreamed of working in federal law enforcement. The thought of traveling, investigating, or taking part in a mission really excited me. I was well on my path of achieving it… until I met my husband.

Long story short, when I graduated college in Spring 2011, I was married, my oldest daughter was still not walking, and I was already pregnant with my second child. What can I say? I don’t like to waste time. At one point I was a full-time student, full-time employee, and full-time mom. After finally receiving my Bachelor’s Degree in Criminology, I decided to switch gears and stay at home with my children. I wanted to watch them grow, enjoy them without the constant rush, feed them well, and help them learn along the way. Once again, I had committed myself to a great plan without thinking of the obstacles that may come in my way.

Now, as I watch a child of mine struggle academically or be diagnosed with a very serious health condition, I face a fair share of struggles on a day to day basis. This blog presents all the little things, ideas and mini-talents that help me get through it all, refresh my energy, and inspire me to never tire starting over again even when I believe a problem is too hard to overcome.
